Jira tickets, written from the meeting
Standups and planning calls are full of “I’ll open a ticket for that”. VoiceRecord writes each of those tickets: a summary, and a description with the context from the discussion.

Draft, filled in
- Summary
- Fix the mobile checkout timeout
- Description
- Checkout times out on mobile, mostly on slow connections. Raised in the standup: add yesterday’s logs.
- Project, assignee, priority
- You fill this in
How it works
- 1
Add your Jira site, once
In Settings, enter your Jira address, like yourcompany.atlassian.net. That’s the whole setup.
- 2
Send the notetaker to your call
Paste the Zoom, Google Meet or Teams link. Each ticket the call asks for becomes a ticket action.
- 3
Open the ticket on your site
One click opens Jira’s create screen on your site with the ticket’s text. You check it and create it.

Good to know
- There is no Jira app to install and no access to grant: VoiceRecord opens the form on your own site, where you’re already signed in.
- Project, assignee, priority and due date are set in Jira.
- The same ticket can open in Linear, or be copied for Notion, Trello or Asana.
Questions
- Does VoiceRecord create tickets automatically?
- No. It writes the ticket and opens it on your Jira site. Nothing reaches Jira until you create it there yourself.
- Do I need a Jira admin to set it up?
- No. You only add your site’s address in Settings. Nothing is installed in Jira.
- What does it turn into a ticket?
- Anything the call agrees should be a ticket: a bug, a request, “I’ll open a ticket for that”. Plain to-dos become tasks instead.
- My team uses Linear. Does that work?
- Yes. Every ticket can open in Linear too, with nothing to set up.
