Terms of Service
Last updated September 4, 2026
These terms govern your use of voicerecord.ai. By using the service you agree to them.
1. What the service does
RecordVoice transcribes speech into text in your browser, and can rewrite that text or extract the follow-ups it contains. Detected follow-ups are offered as links to the applications that carry them out — your mail client, your issue tracker, your phone.
RecordVoice never sends anything on your behalf. Opening a link hands a pre-filled draft to another application; you decide whether to send, file, or dial.
2. Free use and accounts
Speech recognition through your browser is free and unmetered. The AI features — rewriting and follow-up detection — are limited to two runs on transcripts of up to 1,000 characters until you sign in.
Signing in is done through Google. You are responsible for the security of the Google account you use, and for the content you dictate through it.
3. What you may not do
You may not use RecordVoice to record people who have not agreed to be recorded where their agreement is required, to process content you have no right to process, or to attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the service.
Recording laws differ by country and by state. Where you are recording other people, meeting that law is your responsibility, not ours.
4. Your content
What you dictate remains yours. We claim no ownership of your transcripts, of the text produced from them, or of the follow-ups detected in them.
We use your content only to provide the service: producing the transcript, the rewrite, and the detected actions you asked for, and storing them when you are signed in so you can find them again. We do not use it to train models.
5. Accuracy
Speech recognition and language models make mistakes. Transcripts may misread words, and detected follow-ups may misread intent — a recipient, a date, or an amount can come back wrong.
Every draft is shown to you before anything leaves the page, alongside the sentence it came from, precisely so you can check it. Read a draft before you send it. RecordVoice is not a substitute for your own judgement.
6. Availability
The service is provided as it is, without a guarantee of availability. We may change or discontinue features. Where a change removes something you depend on, we will say so on this site before it takes effect where we reasonably can.
7. Liability
To the extent the law allows, RecordVoice is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service, including loss caused by an inaccurate transcript or a misread follow-up.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
8. Ending your use
You may stop using RecordVoice at any time, and delete your saved actions from within the app. We may suspend an account that breaches these terms.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top says when they last changed; continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
